The MD Mask is a reusable, washable, face mask designed to combat the spread of infectious diseases. The mask is composed of an outer layer of designer fabric with an inner layer of healthcare-grade antimicrobial copper infused fabric that has been shown to be widely antimicrobial by contact-killing RNA viruses (including coronaviruses), DNA viruses, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
The design avoids elastic to ensure that the product lasts longer after repeated washings and to avoid any unnecessary tension being placed behind the ears which can be uncomfortable and may also trigger migraines in some susceptible individuals.
We also avoid the use of an exhalation valve in the MD Mask as valves do not provide a barrier to air exhaled into your surroundings. Valve use is NOT recommended by the CDC guidance, leading physicians and now several city regulations. (Valves are often a raised plastic disk about the size of a quarter, on the front or side of the mask)
- Washable and Reusable
- Improved facial coverage
- Increased breathability WITHOUT an exhalation valve
- Maximum comfort
- Made with Anti-Viral fabrics
- Reduces and kills viruses (like COVID-19) that contact the mask
- Made entirely in the USA
- Child / Youth / Adult Small
The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) now recommends that all Americans wear a fabric face mask outside their homes to help stop the spread of coronavirus infections (COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2). Face masks should fit snugly but comfortably, and allow for breathing without restriction. Copper-based antiviral-fabrics are a supplement to and not a substitute for standard infection control practices. Copper-based fabrics have been shown to reduce microbial and viral contamination, but do not necessarily prevent cross contamination or infections. Users must continue to follow all current infection control practices issued by the CDC, the Environmental Protection Agency [EPA] as well as state and healthcare authorities in your local area.
